Isak Rosen and Devon Levi Selected for 2025 AHL All-Star Classic

The American Hockey League (AHL) has announced the rosters for the 2025 AHL All-Star Classic, and two key members of the Rochester Americans have earned spots on the North Division team. Forward Isak Rosen and goaltender Devon Levi will represent the Amerks in this prestigious event, set to take place on February 2-3 at Acrisure Arena in Palm Springs, California, home of the Coachella Valley Firebirds.

Isak Rosen: A Back-to-Back All-Star Selection

Isak Rosen’s selection to the AHL All-Star Classic marks his second consecutive invitation, a rare feat for the Rochester Americans. The Swedish forward has been one of the standout players for the Amerks this season, currently leading the team with 27 points in 30 games. His 13 goals and 14 assists make him one of the top offensive threats in the league, with Rosén ranking 15th in the AHL for goals.

Rosén’s success isn’t limited to just the AHL. After being called up to the Buffalo Sabres, he made a strong impression, recording eight shots in just eight games. A first-round pick (14th overall) by the Sabres in 2021, Rosén has also represented Sweden internationally, earning bronze medals at the 2021 IIHF U18 World Championship and the 2022 World Junior Championship.

Devon Levi: The Backbone of the Amerks’ Success

Goaltender Devon Levi has been instrumental in the Rochester Americans’ success this season. Since being reassigned to Rochester in mid-November, Levi has posted an impressive 11-2-1 record, with a 2.19 goals-against average and a .914 save percentage. His outstanding play has been a major factor in the Amerks climbing to first place in the AHL’s North Division.

Levi’s dominance on the ice has continued in recent weeks, with 10 wins in his last 11 starts. The Quebec native has also recorded two shutouts this season, tying him for the eighth-most shutouts in the AHL. Levi becomes the first Amerks goaltender to be named to the All-Star Classic roster since Jonas Johansson in 2020.

What to Expect at the 2025 AHL All-Star Classic

The 2025 AHL All-Star Classic will feature some of the top young talent in the American Hockey League. The event kicks off on February 2 with the AHL All-Star Skills Competition, showcasing exciting events like the hardest shot, fastest skater, and accuracy shooting.

The AHL All-Star Challenge will take place on February 3, where teams representing the four AHL divisions—Atlantic, North, Central, and Pacific—will compete in a 3-on-3 round-robin tournament. The top two teams will face off for the championship in a thrilling 6-minute game.
